SUWON WORLD CUP STADIUM

The Suwon World Cup Stadium was built after the shape of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. It has very Korean characteristics. The roof is an image of a bird. The front part is the wings, and the back part is the tail. It has an open image. The bathrooms are in the shape of beacon mounds (places that were used long ago to send fire signals) to symbolize Suwon, the castle city. A total of 52.5 billion won was invested in the stadium. The total area is 425,000§³. The stadium has 43,344 seats. There is an auxiliary field and three parcitce fields. Tel.031-268-0385

GYEONGGI PROVINCIAL MUSEUM

The museum has exhibits on the history of Gyeonggi-do along with archaeological, art, and traditional displays.
The exhibition hall covers an area of 3,630§³. There are 6 permanent exhibits - natural history, ancient art, literature, traditional life, paintings and calligraphy, and donated relics - and a special exhibit.
There is a 2,970§³ outdoor exhibit with Baekje Ondol (Korean hypocaust) Residential Sites and 14 displays. There is also a circular theater and playground.
